Thanks for the offer.I haven't much luck connecting Alvina.I know she was in the area because she was married to Daniel Steel and I have her on the 1860 & 1870 census.
another Fahringer researcher,David Klees, has been helping me and he found a baptismal cert for one of their children from an old german reformed church records.The information might shed a lot of light on them but he is having a hard time understanding the handwriting.I've been waiting for him to get back with me.It's been awhile. He also couldn't find any connection with the Fahringers of that area and her also. I think because she had moved out from her family by 1850 and all the census prior to that time don't list the names in the family just the householder.
Have you run across any Steel's with your Fahringer?
