What is your line of Fairbairns? Mine goes back to George Fairbairn b. 7/2/1795 in Scotland, married in Makerston in 1833 to (Wife #2???) Margaret Dinn b. 1/31/1796. They are both buried in Hamilton County, Illinois.
Their son, William Dinn Fairbairn, married Emma Sly, dau of Elijah Sly (b. Scioto Ohio) and M. Cook (born possibly in VA). My husband's grandfather is one of six children born to William and Emma.
Are we related?
