James,
Good to see you back.

Your message prompted me to recheck to see if I'd found anything more out about James that might enable us to link our respective families.
In doing so, I looked up the 1891 and 1901 census in England for your James.
Am I right in that James married his 1st wife's sister?
If I've identified Mary SADLER/SADLAR correctly in 1881, she was the cook in the household of John Robson SCOTT in Newton, Bedrule, ROX, along with a shepherd Adam RICHARDSON, my 1st cousin 4 times removed.
Unfortunately this doesn't add much weight to the circumstantial evidence of a link as the RICHARDSONs and FAIRBAIRN sides of my tree don't connect up, but I thought I'd mention it.

Regards
Lorna
