Hello Earline:

I have been fairly successful with other contacts from your immediate family line. I will share these with you, but not on the public domain. I have a contact from Mary Jane (Fairbairn) Pickett family (sister of Ruby), and I have a contact from the family of James Earl Fairbairn (brother of Ruby). I also have contacts from the family of George Milne Fairbairn in Montana, and close to home here in Ontario - through Grace Fairbairn (author of the Two Hundred Year History) and her sister Edith. Edith is 98 and still alive. Their father was George Fairbairn & Elizabeth Frith.

What I have on the Doan family is rudimentary, but this is the information I have:

Allen Clark Doan married Mary Eliabeth Robins/Robbins

Their children:

Jessie Izillia Doan, b. 27 May 1874 in Pelham Wellanc Co. Ont. died 1958 in Essex Co. married Robert (Bob) Fairbairn 1 November 1893 Sandwich South Twp., Essex

Mary Frances (Fanny) Doan, b. 22 Feb. 1880 Pelham Twp. Welland Ont., d. 20 Jan 1954 Essex, Married Thomas Fairbairn 10 Sept. 1901.

Plus - Almer Clark Doan 23 Oct 1882 Gosfield Twp., Maude Elizabeth Doan (married Male Carpenter) b. 18 Mar 1884 Gosfield Twp.; Almon Canton Doan b. 4 May 1891 Essex, Essex Co.; Archibald Carlton Doan 6 Oct 1897 Essex, Essex Co.;

James Earle Fairbairn b. 29 Sept 1907, d. 10 March 1979 Married to Margaret May Sutton, both are buried in Barrie Union Cemetery. Their daughter Gloria Ann Fairbairn b. 29 Sept 1952 died April 7 1006 in Burks Falls Gen. Hospital from cancer.

Ruby Jessie Florence Fairbairn b. 15 June 1912 died in 1995, married 1st Orval Neil, 2nd William Allison.

Stanley Gerald Fairbairn b. 7 Oct 1915.

MARY FRANCES DOAN and Thomas Fairbairn b. 26 Mar 1881 died 24 April 1963 Leamington and buried in Cottam Ont (North Ridge?). Married 10 Sept. 1901.

Bertha Leone Fairbairn, married 1st Charles Harrison Rew 5 11 Nov. 1918, and 2nd to Louis Edward McGlaughlin on 5 May 1935, died 3 May 1970

Thomas Allen Milne Fairbairn, b. 22 Feb. 1906 Essex, b. 15 Jan. 1991, Married to Hazel Mae Robertson.

Robert Alvin Cecil Fairbairn, b. 1 Feb. 1909 Essex, d. 3 Aug. 1926 buried in North Ridge.

Wallace Sterling Bruce Fairbairn, b. 23 Apr 1915, d. 28 Jan. 1925 buried in North Ridge.

Robert Michael Fairbairn b. 13 July 1973, died 1 March 1998

Nicole Elizabeth Fairbairn b. 21 November 1974.

This is just a guide until you are able to get the Fairbairn book from your sister.
