Hi Pam, Thank you for posting that, enabled me to get more stubborn about finding the family in 1911. I'd not found your grandfather William beyond 1901 when they were still in Richmond, Lennox Co, Ontario. It looks like William was with his brother Robert and family in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Ancestry has them indexed as FANBAN. However, the William M FAIRBAIRN enumerated next to Robert and Alberta, is shown as a bachelor, but born the right month/year in Ontario! Can you shed any light on this? I'd love to hear if you are in contact with any of your cousins as I am on a hunt for descendants of William and Katherine (MORGAN) FAIRBAIRN eligible to join the FAIRBAIRN surname dna project (ie male and still surnamed FAIRBAIRN) to test out my theory that William is the son of Robert and Kate (SCOTT) FAIRBAIRN, and Robert possibly one of my lot, the family of Archibald and Alison (CROSSER) FAIRBAIRN. Until the end of Sept, there are some generous discounts available on the tests, so I'm chasing around to see where else I can find representatives of assorted lines. http://worldfamilies.net/surnames/fairbairn/ (to get the discounts, you have to join via a project link rather than direct via the testing company - ANYONE interested is welcome, not just the families above) Regards Lorna http://familytree.lornahen.com/spFAIRBAIRN.htm Notify Administrator about this message?
