There are now 8 DNA matched Scottish Borders FAIRBAIRN families, none of whom have a confirmed paper trail indicating where these relationships may "fit".
The latest match does have a grandfather claiming to be a cousin to one of the others whose results are pending however.
He also breaks the mould somewhat by having a paper trail that stops south of the border rather than over into Roxburghshire.
So, if anyone knows where the Robert FAIRBAIRN, who married Elizabeth TAYLOR in Newcastle in 1811, came from it would be good to hear from you.
