From 1865, issued during the Civil War, this is The Holy Bible, containing the Old and New Testaments, translated out of the Original Tongues. Published by the American Bible Society, New York, 1865. Beautifully bound in fine full leather, with metal clasps and raised bands. Sized 6x3 and a half inches. 965 pages. Full gilt page block. Very good condition for an old family Bible. One signature that was loose shows some edge wear.

With many inscriptions from the Fairbairn family of Rhode Island. Including Florence Fairbairn, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Jennie Fairbairn, Pawtucket, Jennie R. Fairbairn, etc.
