Dear Amy:
Sorry to hear that you were under the weather. Hopes and prayers that you are able to sit up and take nourishment now, as the saying goes. At any rate, as I recall, you wished information on the children of Thomas and Susanna Fairbrother. I seem to recall that you are a descendant of Patience. What I have ( and I will ask you for a favor in return later) is that Thomas Senior and Susanne (Webster) were married Feb. 2, 1733/34 in Rehoboth, Mass. All this is from the Attleboro, Mass town records if you wish to check it. Their first child, Sarah was born July 19, 1730 (note the year). The rest listed are:
Elizabeth b. March3, 1734
Susannab. April 20, 1734 (bad date)
Maryb. June 24, 1739
Hannahb. Oct 14, 1742
EunisbAug 14, 1744d. May 25,1745
Lovellb. March 31, 1746
Eunis(2nd)b. March 8,1748
Thomasb. Aug 17,1749
Patienceb. March 20, 1751
Williamb. Nov 5, 1752
Richardb. June 29, 1755
Thomas Sr. dies sometime between 1764 and 1767. On July 10, 1756, Thomas and Susanna have Lovell, Thomas, Willima, Patience, and Richard baptised at the Oldtown Church, 1st Congregational, in Attleboro. Susanna later marries Jeremiah Freeman, Jr. in Attleboro, on Oct. 20, 1764. Your Patience married on Sept. 26, 1769 at Rehoboth to Daniel Cushing.
So, I hope this proves interesting for you. Now, the hook. I notice that Kenneth Fairbrother in Florida replied to you and gave you his e-mail address. He professes to have the records for Thomas, (Jr.?) and William. I have looked in vain for the birthplace in Vermont of Thomas Jr's grandson, Alvin. I e-mailed Kenneth Fairbrother to see if he would share with me if he had anything on Alvin. I have not heard from him. Perhaps you could put a bug in his ear.
Thanks
