I have a James Fairbrothers and his wife Sarah in my database. Sarah was in the 1880 census as having a store in Camden, and she died a few years later. I don't have any information at all about that James Fairbrothers. I have another James Fairbrothers (or could possibly be the same one?) who married Mary P. Hewitt in Camden on June 30, 1888. I believe it may have been a second marriage for both of them...

James Fairbrothers who married Sarah was supposed to be the brother of David Fairbrothers who married (maybe?) Lydia Ridgway the daughter of Asa and Ann. Ann was supposed to be the sister of Sarah. This was all family legend that I haven't been able to prove.

Could we compare notes? These Fairbrothers are a slippery bunch!
Anne
