Maria A. Fairbrother Scott passed away October 12,1897, in Fort Dodge, Webster Co. Iowa. she was 60years+2months and 9days old. In a publication"History and Biological Record of Black Hawk Co Iowa" is a page (303) written by her brother Abiather about the trip from NY to Iowa and early life in Iowa.
Her Son James Oren Scott is my grandfather. He was born June 1858 and died Jan.4,1937 in Dinver Colorado General Hospital. of cronic myocardosis. He is interned at Riverside Cemetery. He was married to Margarite Josephine VanBuskirk,January 22,1888 in Otho, Iowa. She was born, May 18,1871,Calhoun Co., Iowa and died February 14,1922 in Hardin Montana. Their son Franklin Harvy Scott is my father, born July 8,1891Kalo Iowa. d.November 23,1964, Craig Co.,Oklahoma. He was married to Mary Golden (Strader )Bright , August 11,1925
