Jack Fairlie Belfast c.1896-1900
Does anyone know anything about Jack Fairlie, believed to have been a tailor in Belfast at the end of the nineteenth century?
He married (or not - we don't have a certificate!) my great-grandmother, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Russell (nee Clarke) in Belfast sometime between 1896-1900. They moved to Bradford, Yorkshire, between 1900-1901, where they had one daughter, Margaret (Maggie). Jack fought in the First War, after which he seems to have disappeared. Lizzie Fairlie died in Avoca, Wicklow in 1919 - her death certificate says 'wife of ex-soldier', which seems to imply that he was still alive at that stage.
Any information would be welcome.
