I looked at the census return sent to you for 1841-it was tabulated when I typed it-but not apparently sent that way!
The numbers refer to ages, the ditto marks to born in the county Yes in every case.

William Sturrock, head,married, 55 years old, farmer of 30 acres, born in Kirkden, Angus; Martha, wife, married, 50, born in Rescobie, Angus; Isabella, daughter, unmarried, 30, born in Rescobie, Angus; David, son,unmarried, 22, born in Aberlemno parish, Angus; Mary, daughter, unmarried, 18, born in Guthrie, Angus; Elizabeth, daughter, unmarried, 18, born in Guthrie; Ann, daughter, 15 born in Guthrie; Susan, daughter, 12, born in Guthrie; Sofia Sturrock, grandchild, 4, Kirkden.
1861 census, Guthrie (Ref. 291/2/51)
William Sturrock, head, married, 69,farmer of 64 acres employing one man, Born in Kirkden; martha, wife, married, 69, Rescobie; David, son, unmarried, 31, Aberlemno: Elizabeth, daughter,unmarried, 26, Guthrie; Ann, daughter, 24, unmarried, Guthrie; Susan, daughter, 21, Guthrie; Jessie, grand-daughter, 13, scholar, Kirkden. The sons and daughters are described as farmer's son or daughter-presumably they worked on the farm.
1871 Census, Guthrie (Ref. 291/1/37)
William Sturrock, head, widower, 79, farmer of 34 acres arable, Kirkden; David, son, unmarried, 36, Aberlemno; Mary, daughter, 36, Guthrie; Elizabeth, daughter, 36, Guthrie; John Greig, servant, farm servant, place of birth unknown.
William Sturrock died on 4 February, 1873 at Bents of Turin, Guthrie, aged 81. Martha Fairweather died on 9 November, 1866 at Bents of Turin, aged 75.
In both cases the informant was their son, David Sturrock.
