Fayerweather of Connecticut
Posted by: Midge (ID *****7566) Date: December 05, 2011 at 14:11:24

The following obituary was in the newspaper "The True Patriot" of Bedford county, Pa of July 27, 1815
It was copied from the "Connecticut Courier":

Died at Trumbull, Mrs. Jerusha Fayerweather, on Saturday the 10th of June last. She saw a hen hanging by its head in the crack of a fence, she ran to her and in the act of giving relief, a cock flew up and struck one of his spurs in the head of this unfortunate woman, which though it appeared trifling at first, brought on the lock jaw, and ended her existence in a few days.
