Catherine Falconbridge (my grandmother) her father Alexander Falconbridge Sea Captain (Dont know yet if related to Alexander Falconbridge surgeon on slave ships from Liverpool to Sierra Leone, US etc, Helped establish Freetown for freed slaves and later made governor of Sierra Leone, believed died in Africa,?) His wife Anna Maria and he both wrote a number of books on their travels on the slave ships and the conditions of slaves. Became very vocal and influenced the abolitionists).

Catherine's siblings, Alexander, Angelo, Mary and Joseph Barry born in County Donegal Ireland. Arrived in Australia in 1880 on the Mariposa as unassisted passengers. Father Alexander aged 48, and mother Catherine (Quinn 36). Lived in Richmond Melbourne Australia. A number of children born after arrival in Australia. Would like to contact anyone who may be related.
