Dear Nikki,

I guess you can see why I was drawn to reply to your posting. Although I carry the name, as did my father, my branch of the family stayed in Virginia while Thomas Jack Fallin's moved on down into Georgia and Alabama.

I think the best place to go for the details is to Franklin Fallin who lives part of the year in Georgia and part in Florida. Franklin has posted messages earlier on the Forum and you can reach him just by replying to one of those.

The bottom line, to steal some of Franklin's thunder, is that with the names you've given we can carry you back to Northumberland County, Virginia in the 1600's. The first recorded name is Charles Fallin (though many of the documents spelled it Fallon).

If you can't reach Franklin, write me at JakFF@aol.com and I'll give you the major steps.
