Wanted: Fallins from Elsewhere
Dear Friends,
So far the great majority of our messages have been from people who are actually related to one another, through lines tracking back to Charles Fallin in VA in the 1600s.Another definite family, though I'm not sure it's shown up on the Forum, traces to a Redmond Fallin appearing in Maryland just before 1700.There are also a couple of other almost certainly related lines, not yet finally linked up. Although not at all free from doubt, the few clues we have seem to favor Ireland as the starting point for these families.
But that is not all.I have seen records of people with the "Fallin" name coming from both France and Norway. There are also African-American families that use, or did use the same spelling.
If anyone from those, or other, origins reviews this Forum -- please check in with a message. I for one would really like to get the whole story and include everyone.
Jack
