Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Hi, Chris. I'm Jeanie Fallin Simmering from La. Wonder if your dad knew the Fallins in Shreveport when he lived there. One of my uncles, Jack Fallin, and his family lived there, and two of his daughters still do. One of his sons is a judge in North La., Glen Fallin. I also come from the same line Roger Thorton does from Alabama, but my gr-gr-grandfather, Jesse T. Fallin died in Ala., and his widow moved to La. My father, Wayne Fallin, was the oldest of nine children; from them I have 25 first cousins scattered all over the country, but most of us stay in touch, and have a Cousins' Party every year the night after Christmas at one of our houses, even if we live away. Franklin Fallin is on this board sometimes, and he has a wealth of information on the Fallin family all the way back to the 1300's. Have a Merry Christmas!
