I have also found Follins in France and Norway. Our family tradition is that the Follin name is Irish also. I am not so sure. The more research in just general history that I have done leads me to believe it may be a Norman name which explains it's existence everywhere in Europe. The name spelled Follin and Fallin also appears around London and in the southern counties of England. I am trying to make a connection between the Follins of Fairfax County, Virginia and the Fallins of the Northern Neck, Eastern Shore and Eastern Shore of Maryland. I would like to make a trip to the Northern Neck this summer and do a little research.
