Hey Cousins! I am a direct descendant of Redmond Fallin and Elizabeth Gwin (I always wondered if Gwin was actually Quinn?)
I had earlier proposed a connection to Maryland Fallin families, but I have to here publicly renounce that claim, that was a hunch that can't be proven.
my line pretty much goes like this ....
There was a Redmond Fallin who shows up on the Sandy Creek of the Dan River in 1745, he had a son named Edmond, and Edmond had a son named Redmond, and Redmond had a son named Littlebury who went to Columbia (area) of Maury County Tennessee, one of littleberry's sons was Edward Townes Fallin, Ed T. Fallin went to Arkansas and was in the Civil War (or War of Northern Aggression ... if you will) ... and Ed Fallin and Julia Simmons had a George Minor Fallin Senior in Woodruff and Jackson Counties Arkansas (was where they lived, by Newport, Tupelo and Augusta) George Minor Fallin Senior had several children one of which was my Grandfather "George Minor Fallin Jr" of Corning area of Clay County Arkansas near the Missouri line. I am descended that way, and of course I have some more details than this, but I can't legitimately go back further than 1745 near Danville Virginia.
I suspect I connect to the Tidewater Charles Fallin bunch, but haven't linked that yet, and I believe they go back into the late 1600's there in the Tidewater (Northumberland County maybe?)
There is a Fallin's Mill on the east coast of Virginia somewhere, there's also a "Fallin's Cove" on the East Shore of Maryland, but no solid links to my Fallin bunch.
