Marilyn and Jane,

Marilyn has the basic resource for the part of the family that moved down from VA into GA. My side stayed in VA into the late 1800s, our last common ancestor was Charles III (also called Charles, Jr.). My line came down through Charles IV's brother William.

Its fascinating, at least to me, that "Jack" apparently jumped back into my family from it's appearance with Thomas Jack on the other side. I have to believe that the branches remained in communication for some considerable period.

Thanks to a terrific family researcher, Bill Porter, (married to a second cousin), we have a very solid tree on my side and I may be able to provide direct assistance.

In the meantime Jane, keep working the Web, we all look at or for slightly different things and you may be able to find stuff that fills out the bare "born-died-married" stuff.

Jack
