hi, all, i'm not sure this will help, but the Cherokee Fawiling/Fallng family maried into the Vanns through Nancy Vann, b. 1774 in Cherokee Nation East, Spring Place Georgia, daughter of James Clement Vann and Wah-wli Otterlifter (renamed Mary Christina by Moravians) Vann b. 1746 in Spring Place GA. Nancy married John Fawling, Falling (b. 1776 in Cherokee Nation East, Tennessee). after John Fawling's death Nancy Vann married Samuel Tally (b. 1770) in 1817. this information is from rootsweb, under the name "Nancy "Nannie" Vann, id. 124602. the keeper of this line is J.A. Clinard, whose e-mail is johnandlil@charter.net. hope this connects for you. there is a huge amount of information out there on the Vanns, and i remember seeing the Buffington name on one of the postings, also Rebekkah. good hunting, callie
