For information : The first of the surname Fallowfield in County Westmorland ( now Cumbria ) was Nicholas de Fallowfield c.1400. "de" Fallowfield meant he was "of" Fallowfield and there is documentary proof that this was the village of Fallowfield south of Manchester ( which today is a suburb of that City ).
