I thought I had my Fallowfield family tree looking fairly pristine but realised that even the slightest discrepancy is to be questioned before being beleived. So here is my question:
Kirk b1963, son of Barbara Fallowfield b1941, daughter of Henry b1901, son of Joseph born 1863 in Sculcoates, son of George (Grocer) born 1819 in Howden, son of George (Mariner)born 1799 in Howden, son of Christopher (Ag Lab) born 1763 in Holme on Spalding Moor, son of Thomas (Ag Lab)born 1735 in Holme on Spalding Moor son of Joseph (Husbandman) died 1770 son of who? Ido not know where or when exactly that Joseph was born but I know that his wife was named Anne (surname not known) and that he appears to have been the brother of William Fallowfield (c1706-1787) who married someone also named Anne.
Can anyone complete the next few previous generations?
I am 99% certain the next (or next but one) generation were from Pocklington and link thus: William son of Thomas, son of Nicholas, son of Thomas, who was born in Great Strickland, was a student at Sedburgh School, took a BA at St John's Cambridge and became the Usher of Pocklington School in yorkshire and died 1606. His wife was Isabella Bullock and they were married in 1569 in Pocklington.
Once I get this bit sorted and if I am not barking up the wrong path I need to know what Thomas' link was with Thomas Fallowfield the Marian MP for Westmorland
Any help would be appreciated
