Hi Wendy
I also am linked to the George and Harriet Fallowfield Family.
My grandfather is George born 1854 Joiner who moved to Richmond, Surrey and married Anne Way resulting children George, Anne (both died in childhood), Walter, Arthur (moved to Australia), Edith, and Herbert (my father),
Anne died and George remarried Norah Bartlett with resulting children Norah, George Patrick, and Kathleen Frances.
I am Herbert William born 1930 in Ham Richmond Surrey and emigrated to New Zealand in 1951 where I still live.
The story our family tells of George and Harriet was that George was a mariner and was a shipmate of the man Cocksworth (Harriet's first husband) Cocksworth was killed at sea and George had the task of telling Harriet of his death and comforting her - which he obviously did very well.
