Thanks, Raiford, for your acknowledgement to my reply. Yes, I realize how you made the mistake...Bowdre starts near the bottom of page 41 with only four markers in the cemetery.Bethesda starts at the top of the right column on the same page and is immediately followed by a small map of the cemetery. The names for the markers in Bethesda start near the bottom of the right column below the map at about the same level as they do in the left column under Bowdre.
"Tate" is Raiford Fancher's nickname, because, as I understand, his family home was located just inside Panola Co. on the Tate-Panola Rd. His middle name is Lindsey, or Linsey. What I meant was I do not know why his parents named him either of his given names. As I mentioned, if those are family names, they must come from the Fancher side, because his maternal lineage (Haynes, Bailey, and associated families) is also my ancestry, since his mother and my paternal grandmother were sisters, and I am quite certain that those names do not appear in any of our ancestral families for several generations. So "Tate", or "Tait", is really a non-issue in determining the source of his name.
By the way, does Rosemary ever stop by Como on her travels to Alabama?
Hope to see you soon,
Morris
