I haven’t yet been able to confirm that this Calista F. Daniels was d/o Silas and Mary Fannin, but the probability is high.Have you searched for other descendants of Dora to see if they had any information? The following information was assembled with the help of some (appreciated) look-up volunteers:
ANDREW J. DANIELS was born in December 1861 in Kentucky to parents born in Kentucky. He married CALISTA FANNIN in 1884.He married 2nd, in 1892 ALICE JOHNSON who was born in February 1874.They were in Catlettsburg for the 1900 census June 1st, dwelling 8, family 10.Note:It clearly reads that Alice was born "KY", however children's mother's birthplace reads "VA" for all of them.Andrew was renting and occupation listed as farmer.Alice had four children.
1. DORA DANIELS, b. October 1885
2. ALLETA DANIELS, b. August 1888
3. SALLIE DANIELS, b. February 1893
4. JOHN DANIELS, b. April 1895; d. E. Butler, Pa., in Feb 1974 (SSDI).
5. FRANK DANIELS, b. December 1896
6. MARY L. DANIELS, b. February 1899
Silas “Fannon” gave birth information in Wayne County, WV for a daughter, “Calistia” F. born 9 July 1866.
In the 1880 census, there was an Andrew J. Daniel, age 21, son of Thomas B. and Mary J. Daniel in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky.
