My father, Michelantonio Fantetti, was born in Bonefro, Campobasso in 1938 to Gennaro Fantetti and Eufemia Porrazzo. My grandfather, Gennaro, had two brothers that survived infancy and one ended up in Cincinnati. I beleive he died in the 1960's. My father and his two sisters had never met their uncle. Our small branch of the tree ended up in Toronto, Canada. As a teenager I met other Fantetti's in the Toronto area who were from Bonefro but apparently "not related" to us..I'm quite certain that at some point we must have been related but no one seems to know. My grandparents passed away quite some time ago and I never thought to ask back then.
I'm the only daughter of the only son- so I'm the only Fantetti amongst my cousins. I was born in Toronto but currently reside in Vancouver. I would love to hear from distant relatives- our family in Toronto was very small, not your typical Italian clan!
