Juan, I understand where you are coming from, did you ever think that maybe your Dad came from that type of household?
Forget the past and go on, it is only hurting your life.

I am from a Farias' from Concepcion, Chile They were owners of a land grant given to Talamantes-Farias, in Culver City, CA area. 'Rancho La Ballona.' My anscestor was Jose Maria Farias, born in Chile, line came from Spain. On the border of Portugal there is a town Faria, Spain.

He married into the Talamantes-Avila Family they all lived and died in Los Angeles Co. CA

I come from a happy fun loving bunch who were not mean, but they were stubborn! Had musical qualities, and could make you laugh and laughed at them selves.

Have a happy life and be proud of your heritage and see that you do not follow in your Dad's path? I am a Great Grandma concerned about your unhappiness.

I have done much research on the Farias'
