Farias (Enos), Azores to Hawaii ca. 1890

I have an Emanuel Enos and Isobel Martin who arrive here in Port Townsend, Wash., ca. the 1890s from the Azores via the Hawaii sugar plantations. A daughter of this couple tells me that she had a half-uncle in Hawaii by the name of FARIAS. Meanwhile, I find that in another local Enos line (Anton Enos nee Ignacio and Maria Martin or Maria Martin Figuero), also reaching Port Townsend via the same route, there is a daughter named Loretta whose baptismal certificate (1904) lists her as Maria Loretta Farias (with the name Marie Loreta Enos in partentheses). This all has become exceptionally confusing. Help!--Tom Camfield who may be e-mailed at camfield@olympus.net
