Thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my posting. It has been some time since I made this inquiry, but I only recently discovered most of what you just sent me. W. Ellwood Jones was my grandfather's brother, and the fact that he went by the first initial W made it difficult to find him. I finally did find that he was an insurance executive in Hartford in the 1920 census. That's not out of the ordinary, as our family at the time was deep into the insurance industry. It is interesting that his son married an Underhill, as my research shows an insurance connection with both the Underhill and Sands famlies. To the best of my knowledge, W. Ellwood, Jr, was in fact the only child of that marriage. I do show that he and Katherine had two children, Evan Sands (b. 1928) and Allison Faries (b. 1939). However, 11 years between children is rather odd. Do you have anything concerning these children? I assume that your research has to do with the Underhills, but if you have any interest in the Joneses mentioned, please let me know. I would be glad to hear from you at kajken49@yahoo.com. Thanks again for you interest in my search.
