Hi, Eric. To answer your question, I don't know, but I guess it could be possible. I don't find a William James in my files. I realize the difference in spelling, my Faries line does tie back to the Farris. I don't have a clue when, where or why the spelling was changed. The Moses I referred to (according to the info I have) was born before 1788 in Ireland and he had a son, Moses T., born prob. South Carolina. The Moses that was born before 1788 was a brother to my ancester, Robert Arthur Farris (Faries?) who was born abt. 1790 in South Carolina. Also, there is a Moses P. b.1846 - he was the son of Robert Miller b. 1804 SC and he (Robert Miller) was the son of Moses T. (b. bef 1788 Ireland). I hope this helps. Do any of these sound familiar to you?

My dear cousin Justin Sanders may have more information on this. I will forward to him your question, just in case he doesn't see the your post on the list.
