Here is further information.

In 1942 men who were born between 1878 and 1898 (or 1899) were required to register for the draft. These records can be found at

This first link should bring up the registration of Thomas A. Farley, b. Mt. Carmel, PA. His birth date is 22 July 1883, which does not agree with the census record. Quite often a census record can be wrong. We never know who gave the information. I would go with the draft registration as being correct.

This next link is the registration of his brother, Francis Anthony Farley, b. Mt. Carmel, PA, 11 Jan 1886.

I did not find a registration for John, b. 1895. It might be that he died as a young man.
