I've been trying to find out where the name "Skidmore" came from. Lewis Adams' brother, William, named a child Thomas Skidmore Adams, so the name may come from that side of the family (but I haven't found the connection yet). I recently found another possibility from the Farley side of the family.
I do not know who David Farley's parents were, but I recently found information on this site that Forrest Farley b. 1767 Bedford Co., VA, d. after 1854 Kentucky, married Margaret Mary Munsey who was the daughter of Francis Munsey and Mary Skidmore.
Does anyone have information about David Farley's parents?
