WILLIAM F. TEW of l63l Maple St., Des Moines, Iowa, was born in Marion, Ohio, June 23, l857, and died at the Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, January l2, l924, being 66 years old at the time of his death. He was married November 5, l893, to ELECTA J. FARNES, of Leon. To this union were born seven children, all of whom are still living: MRS. GRACE NELSON, of Broadview, Mont.; LYMAN, CLIFFORD, MARTIN, RUTH, WILFRED and WALTER, of Des Moines. He is also survived by a nephew, D.D. TEW and one grandchild, AILEEN TEW, of Des Moines, and a large circle of relatives and friends.

MR. TEW came west from Ohio when six years of age, settling in Garden Grove, but later moving to Leon, where he worked for twenty years as a printer, being employed by the Leon Journal.

In l895, MR. TEW moved his family to Des Moines, where he spent the remainder of his life. He was a printer for fifty-four years and a member of the Typographical Union for twenty-seven consecutive years. He was employed by the Success Printing and Composition Co. at the time of his death.

Funeral services were held at the Selover & Hamilton Funeral Home at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Rev. N.C. Carpenter of the Capitol Hill Christian Church, officiating. Interment was made in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines.
