I also have an ancestor with the same name. I haven't found mine yet. Truls (1822 in Norway) Wife: Christie (b. 1824 ish) . Immigrated to the United States in 1848 with brothers Mons, and Erick.

Yours appears on the 1850 and 1860 Census in Windsor Township, Dane County Wisconsin. All the kids are there!

My Truls Erickson may have had a son named Ingebert (b. 1847 in Norway)(spelling) and maybe Eric (1851 in Wisconsin). This information was found on the 1850 Census in Dekorra TS Columbia Co. WI. I'm trying to confirm that this family is mine. The census is almost impossible to read! But ages do match!

My Truls Parents were: Erik Johnson/Jonson and Britha Trulsdatter(Betsey). They immigrated about 1852. I've found Betsey on the 1860 Census but not her husband (Dekorra TS, Columbia Co. WI). She's living with her one of her sons, Charles (21 years)

Well, look up those census pages.
