Tom--
Sorry, but my info on the Fahrneys is very limited. I've gotten the majority of my information from sites like this one. Family tradition says that the Fahrneys (Farnie) came from Switzerland. I haven't been able to varify that. I am a descendant of Samuel and Barbara Gantz Fahrney. Their son, Andrew, moved to Illinois and met up with the Steffens family. His son, Emory, and the Steffens daughter, Laura Orrinda, married and had my grandmother, Ruth Orrinda. This is where I got my name so I've always been intrigued by this family line.
