In researching the FARNEY family, I came across (probably) your John Farney in the 1850 census. He is enumerated in the same town as lived John Farney 1750-1859(yes, he lived to 109).
From your query, the Elizabeth married to John in the census would be Elizabeth Radcliff. Mary Radcliff/Radcliffe is reported to have been married to John Farney(b.1750), but no other data about her has turned up.
Contact me directly if you want more of what I found about the Farney/Radcliff connection.
conjectured to be the son of John Farney b. 1750 Ireland
1. 1850 United States Federal Census > Ohio > Jackson > Franklin, pg 296B
John Farney 72 VA, Elizabeth 69 PA farmer, John 26 OH school teacher, Samuel 24 OH farming, Permela Sanderford 25 VA.
