Hi....I just recently discovered that my ancestor Robert BILSBURY (BILBOROUGH) chr Jan 17 1813 was the son of Robert BILSBURY and Ellen FARNWORTH.

I'm waiting for someone in Lancashire to do a look-up for Ellen's father's name from the marriage register but at the moment, her parents could be either William FARNWORTH and Ellen HALL or John FARNWORTH and Ann HILTON.

It doesn't really matter which one it is because she's still in the descendancy of Thomas FARNWORTH chr Jul 19 1687 in Deane by Bolton LAN.

Originally I found the marriage for Thomas and Ellen MOOR but I had the same problem with them waiting SO many years to have children and then having them every couple of years. I checked the IGI again online and found a marriage for a Thomas FARNWORTH to Maria (Mary) WILLIAMSON on Feb 6 1717 in Deane by Bolton and this latter sounds so much more plausible at this point. What do you think??
