Chris have I missed something as I'm wondering what Farnworth you are researching. On the 1881 census for Nathan and Ann in Halliwell, Bolton..yes that is my ggrandfather and the Margaret Ann was my grandmother..Margaret Ann married Thomas Rigby..I have my Farnworth line going back to 1744..John Farnworth and Ann Valentine.
Also the David born in 1825 was Nathan"s brother. And to date these are the only children I can find for James Farnworth and Elizabeth Crankshaw. We should all go on a mailing list for the Farnworth name in Lancs on Roots web. We have one going for the Rigby name and it is getting pretty active.
