Hi June,

Your note was most intriguing! I doubt if I can help you, June, but I'll try. The Farone-Faraone families came into this country and settled in various pods, so to speak. I know of those who went to Bridgewater, CT (or New Haven) -- some Saratoga Springs, which I suspect are somehow related to those who came to Oneonta, N. Y. and then I remembering noting that a Farone came into the Port of Philadelphia in 1875. The latter family I've neer been able to find anything on at all.

Somewhere on the Internet, I learned that there was a Farone-Faraone woman who was a poet -- and now we have an opera singer -- superb!

Do you know if this Frances was related to the Alvignano family? Also, can you give me an approximate year of birth? I suppose, though, that all the Faraones originated in the same town -- I'm hoping to get to Salt Lake City someday and work in the Italian Records at the LDS facility.

See, I don't have any information for you, but I'll be back with some resources you might want to check out.

Ashland, OH (formerly of Watertown, N. Y.)
