Hi, Cousin,
I was glad to see your posting, as I have run into Clayton, Alabama, mentioned several times in these postings and wondered where in Alabama it is. I am originally from Birmingham, but do not know where Clayton is located.
I have a summary of our family history and will be glad to mail you a copy; it is less than 10 pages long and will give you an idea about our family's background. Since I've been looking, I've discovered that there are a LOT of Farriors out there, and many have done quite well in the world. I'm sorry your grandmother is reluctant to tell you very much, but, heck, we all get into the world the same basic way!
Let me hear from you via e-mail if you would like me to mail you a copy of the summary. It's from the book by Leslie H. Brown, Jr. "Geanealogy of the Farrior Family" which others on the Forum have mentioned.
Best wishes!
Glenda in Tennessee
