I have a Farris Lockett, a "poor orphan," who was bound out in Chesterfield Co., VA in 1809. No parents' names were given in the court order. The only clue I have to his identity is the names of two other Lockett children bound out in the same period: Cheatham Lockett and William Lockett, for neither of whom parents' names were given. The Locketts were intermarried with Crumps (New Kent Co.) and Whitlocks (King William Co.) somewhat later in the 19th century. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would be very glad to hear from you. Notify Administrator about this message?
