FARVER IS LEFEVER

While intensly researching my Lefever (Lefevre) ancestors from France to PA to MD to Oh & Iowa I have found some legitimate Farver and thus a valid surname. However, due to choice, errors, or the lack of spelling ability, some Lefever or Lefevre became by choice or accident Farver. In particular while sorting out pioneer Lefever families living in SW Ohio, I found some named in records as Lefever and descended from these pioneers later in marriages and deeds recorded as Farver. In looking at some of your Farver postings (Shelby Co. & Iowa, etc) the surnames included are the ones that were neighbors to these early SW Ohio Lefevers. Hope this helps those who have hit brick walls. Morris LeFever
