Good News and Bad news....
There is a Carrie Farwell listing in Giulford Twnsp, Wilson Co., Ill in 1910 with her daugher Rita and Brother Ebner Evans. In 1900, she is with her parents...Ebenezer and Elizabeth and siblings Ebner and Grover C.
Living a few pages later is the family of Julia Farewell, widow. With her are sons, Dudly L, Bert M., and Charles D.
If you go to the 1880 census, your find Julia is a widow living in the household of her father-in-law, Franklin Farewell (born in NH).Her children are Frank D., Dick (this is your Richard no doubt), Milo B., Charly D.
If your continue to go backwards, in 1870 Franklin is listed as F. Farwell, with wife M.A., daughter D., and son listed as C.B.In another hoursehold is Milo Farwell, age 32 with wife J.D.Farwell...this is your W.H. I believe.
In 1860 Franlin is in Ill with wife Mary, age 34, son Milo 22 (Mary is probably not the mother), Dora age 4, Charles age 3.
In addition, in the Illinois Civil War records...Pvt. Milo Farwell, Co. E 8th Illinios, Infantry, Enlisted on July 28, 1861 at Peoria Ill, age 23 years.Possible that Julia got a widows pension...paperwork you can look for.
Here is the bad:From the Farwell Memorial, part II (The Farwell Family geneology)
202 FRANKLIN FARWELL4 (Robert3, Richard2, Samuel1), b. June 7, 1813, m. (1) (???) Cooper, dau. of Ludlow Cooper, (2) (???), (3) (???), m. (4) Nellie ((???)) Farwell, res. Canton, Ill., 1927. D. in Wilson Co., Kansas, age 93, outlived two sons. Removed from New Hampshire, with his father to Coshocton Co., Ohio, about 1820, then to Ill. in 1840.
Children:
508I.Milo (adopted) b. Feb. 26, 1838; d. 1878; m. Juliana Doddridge
Meek.
509II.Son
510III.Son.
Mrs. Juliana (Doddridge) Farwell, Benedict, Kan.
Consequently, not knowing the previous wives of Franklin hard to determine which one was probably the mother of Milo...possibly a widow...which makes finding Milo's father more complicated to say the least.
I know the names are different then what you had...but this does appear to be correct. The early listed are as Farwell, then a couple under the name Farewell, and then back to the name Farwell.
If I can help further, please let me know....Good Luck
