Searching for Info on a Sophie Fauerbach b.Sept 1874 and d. May 05 1959

I am searching for any information on a SOPHIE FAUERBACH. She was my ggg-grandmother. I am looking for anything that will lead me to finding our more about her parents/siblings and other relatives.

What I do know is that Sophie Fauerbach, was born September 1874 in New York, New York. I found her marriage certificate which was dated June 25, 1893 in Chicago, So I know that at some point either she moved to Chicago by her self or the whole family did, but I cannot find any other FAUERBACH families in Chicago at this time with a teenage daughter named Sophie.

She died on 05 May 1959 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.

When She died, her obituary states that she was "the widow of the former fire captain", Edward Krugleman.

I am also having a difficult time finding any records of her family or when they came over to the US. I know that both her parents were born in Germany, from several census records. I also have found that the Last name Fauerbach is of a Jewish origin.

Sophie and Edward had two daughters: Edna Allison and Margaret(Marguerite)Francis.
Her daughter Margaret Married a Earl Belfry, who died during WWI and was honored with a medal. Margaret later remarried and is my great-great grandmother.

I am trying to trace the origins of the FAUERBACH family, I believe that they were German-Jews but I haven't found any proof of that. I know her husband Edward's linage was of Palatine Jews that migrated to upper NY and later settled in Chicago.

If anyone has any information or any tips to help me I would greatly appreciated it.
