Mr. Bland:
I have contacted the author James Faulconer for assistance with the Faulconer Family of Tappahannock, Essex County, Virginia, and he responded that he had no information on them.Perhaps in your research you have run across someone who does have information?
My interest stems from the house in which the Faulconer Family and descendants lived from 1892 up to the 1990s.It is now called Little Egypt and has an address of 515 Faulconer Circle, at the end of Prince Street, just over a block west of U.S. Route 17 in Tappahanock.
John Waller Faulconer, Jr., a dry goods merchant, bought the house in 1892 from James M. Matthews, trustee for James Roy Micou and family.J.W. Faulconer's wife was Carrie Cogin Jones. They were distantly connected to the Micou family, as James Roy Micou (Jr.) wife was Ellen Harvie Jones, daughter of Capt. John Jones and his second wife Susan. As a young girl, Ellen and her two sisters became heirs to a 211-acre parcel just west of the Tappahannock town boundary.
I can go further, but my goal is to learn more about the details of just who actually lived in the house, particulars about the life of the house, and obituaries of anyone who had lived in the house.
Any leads?
