Patience Morton was the daughter of George Morton and Juliana Carpenter, b. abt. 1615, in Leyden, Holland, d. 1691. She married John Faunce in Plymouth, MA, in 1633. John came on the "Anne" in 1623. They had nine children.
About Juliana Carpenter:
"Juliana Carpenter was born abt. 1583, in Wrington, Somerset, England. She died February 19, 1664/5, in Plymouth, MA. She married (1) George Morton on July 23, 1612, in Leyden, Holland. George was a merchant in York, England. His possible ancestry is given in 'George Morton of Plymouth Colony and Some ofHis Descendants,' by John K. Allen, 1908. This lists an ancestry from from his father, George Morton of Bawtry, Yorkshire, who married Catherine, daughter of John Boun, Esq. Catherine was buried in the Chapel of Bawtry. This ancestry traces back another ten generations to Thomas Morton, secretary to King Edward III. This ancestry, however, has not been verified. George came on the "Anne" in 1623, and died in June, 1624. Juliana married (2) Manasseh Kempton, who died January 14, 1662."
