Sorry I should have added a note to my first post. Vincent was born Jan 1st 1917 (this is positive) when his father Theodore William was around 59-60 years old. Theo was interested enough in genealogy to have noted the birthdates/deaths of Emma and her brothers and sisters. According to his notes she died December 11 1914, but we have been unable to track either her birth or death certificate to substantiate this as fact. As opposed to Theo, it has been very difficult to find any information on her other than she had likely been married before and her maiden name was Blackell.
The age of his father certainly adds up as Vincent told us his father was 60 when he was born. It's possible that Theo's notes on his wife are wrong, even a possibilty that he married a third time - the latter just an assumption as I havent found anything to corroborate this. If it were so this third wife would have to have been in her late 40's-50's if photographs are anything to go by. Of all the documents handed down through the family, quite a few originally belonged to Emma Blackwell and there are none from any other female source. Intriguing, eh!
