HORACE KENT TENNY, born in Portage, WI, 11 Sep 1859, son of Henry W. and Hannah (Cadle); married in Madison, WI, 25 Nov 1887, Eleanor Burnside Faville, who was born in Madison, 30 Jan 1863, daughter of Dr. John and Louise Sophia Baird. Mrs. Tenney's great-great-great-grandmother was an Indian of the Ottawa tribe, living near Mackinae, MI.
He attended the University of VT, 1876-79 and law school of University of WI, 1879-81; admitted to the bar in 1881, since which date has practised law in Chicago, IL, under the firm of Tenney, McConnell, Coffee & Harding. He has been newly appointed professor of law in University of Chicago (1902)
