So far no one has positively identified John Faver Sr.'s
parents, but it's almost certain he was born in VA and
not France. I lived in VA until last year and for the last
3 or 4 years have done extensive research on the Faver
families in VA. The relationships are tantalizingly close
to John Sr., although it would be irresponsible at this point to try to identify other members of John Sr.'s family
other than William. John Sr. moved to SC from VA then, moved to GA. He was closely connected to Theophilus
Faver and Reuben Faver in SC (note he named a son Reuben), but so far we don't know what the relationships were. I suspect that they were brothers of
John Sr. Theophilus paid taxes on land in Wilkes Co. for several years although he never improved it .
